My current project's working title is call of the Unicorn, which
I envision as a trilogy. It's the story about Tony Rinaldi, who discovers that his sister, Meerna, and
his best friend, Kirlan Duncanson, are more than they seem. Through them, Tony gets sucked into a magical world
where he has to contend with wizards, magic and woman who has no compunction in killing him. A prophecy says that
the joining of Meerna and Kirlan will result in a child who will initiate change to the magic, but even that may
not be what it seems.
In addition to Unicorn, I have a couple of other novels in the works.
The first working title is The Meadow Lake Fairy, but I hope to come up with a better title. It's the story
of a "reporter" who works for the tabloid "Real and Accurate News," which delivers anything but.
While he's asleep, a fairy comes to ask for his help. This starts him on a journey to help bring magic back into the world.
The second title is The Wizard and the Apprentice. That'll need a better title, too. It's the
story of a wizarding apprentice who receives a plea for help from woodland fairies who have a magic item stolen without which
they cannot live. This sends him, the wizard and a fairy on quest to recover it to save them all.
I also have a
short story (almost a novella in length) based upon a picture I found in a newspaper. It's about how a girl makes
one mistake after another and ends up with in a dead-end life. The title is The Dancer.
